GENERAL POLICIES
Orientation
APDS celebrates that each student is on a personal spiritual journey whether they have prior experience in religious and spiritual studies or not. APDS serves to support the integration of head and heart, where life and learning become one.
We view our students as future leaders in their chosen fields of sacred service. This may or may not include traditional ministry and can represent a broad spectrum of interests. To enable this, we provide the opportunity for a personalized student-centered, heart-centered program. In regards to the scholarly benchmarks that each student needs to meet in order to graduate, we heartily encourage our students to include and embrace their own wisdom, spiritual orientation, life purpose, and most of all to be open-minded and open-hearted within an Interfaith and Interspiritual context. Experiential components and personal creativity are considered important and highly encouraged.
Enrollment Requirements
Every applicant should:
• Be proficient in the English language.
• Have earned a prerequisite degree or completed the equivalent of an independent study and life experience, approved by the Admissions Director.
• Have easy and regular access to the internet with essential knowledge of how to use a computer.
* Have the ability to review, research and craft an essay/paper in an academic format. If not, the student will be required to do a tutorial to refresh their skills and gain proficiency so as to not delay progress with their coursework
Transferable Credits
APDS generally accepts up to 12 credits from similar, relevant coursework completed elsewhere which are assessed by APDS on a case by case basis. Units you earn in our degree programs may or may not be transferable to any other colleges or universities. This is the case with all institutions of higher education. These questions/credits must be evaluated by the college or university in question. “Religious degrees” are generally considered non-academic by the U.S. Dept of Education.
Academic & Religious Freedom
Academic freedom includes the protection of the opportunity for the teacher to teach, the mentor to mentor and for the teacher/mentor, and the student to study, without coercion, censorship, or other forms of restrictive interference. Academic freedom encourages the flow of ideas with the recognition that freedom to teach/mentor and freedom to learn to imply both rights and responsibilities within the framework of the school's policies and curricular objectives. Faculty and mentors as citizens and members of a learned profession and representatives of the Seminary (Divinity School) shall be free from censorship and discipline when speaking or writing. However, the special position of faculty and mentors imposes special obligations and as representatives of the Seminary (Divinity School), should be accurate and objective, encouraging a spirit of respect for the opinion of others.
Accreditation
At this time, APDS degrees are religious degrees and are not accredited. All Paths Divinity School is on the leading edge of this pioneering field of study and there are no agencies at this time who evaluate this kind of progressive, multi-faith, non-denominational, student-centered study. Our faculty, advisors, and associates are leaders in their field, and many are highly credentialed and respected for their expertise, and are, (or have been) academic professors at other traditional institutions. Their support of All Paths is our best testimony. Many of our All Paths students and graduates have multiple postgraduate and doctoral degrees prior to enrolling with us. We are open to being accredited but at this stage of our program would have to change the unique factors that we embrace. This freedom is central to who we are and we need to preserve and protect it. Our program is rigorous, creative, and self-reflective and it is important to us that we are vigilant in keeping our focus on the unique journey of each student rather than shaping everyone into a predetermined formula. At this time, we choose to be independent, but our hope is that as more interfaith/interspiritual schools emerge, there will be credentialing agencies that will be supportive and appreciative of this approach.
Ordination | Minister’s License | Affiliate Membership/dues | Ecclesiastical Endorsement | Chaplaincy Training | Employment
All Paths Spiritual Community (APSC), All Paths Universal Temple, Los Angeles (APUT), and All Paths Divinity School (APDS) provides ordination for all of our students to perform ministerial duties. This is optional for APDS degree program students.
MINISTER’S LICENSE: It is the student’s responsibility before working as a Minister, to check with their local city/state government to find out if they require additional paperwork from the student. Some states require filing forms, others do not. All prospective ordinands need to have a background check performed before receiving ordination. (LIVE-SCAN or equivalent). The cost of this is the student’s responsibility.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP/DUES: In order to keep their APUT/APSC ordination/minister’s license current, students who receive APDS ordination pay annual dues to APDS for an All Paths Affiliate Membership. Periodically doing continuing education courses is a requirement. These will incur additional fees which will be the student’s responsibility. Further details and benefits of being an Affiliate will be provided at the time of Ordination. Affiliate Membership will also provide Ordinands the opportunity to apply to establish Circles of Belonging, where they live, either as an All Paths Spiritual Community, and/or All Paths Universal Temple.
ECCLESIASTICAL ENDORSEMENTS: All Paths ordinands currently have the choice of receiving Interfaith Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a partner organization. This comes with a nominal fee and certificate of endorsement. This certificate will need to be renewed every other year to remain current.
CHAPLAINCY TRAINING: Many APDS students have an interest in Chaplaincy work. At this time, not all Chaplaincy jobs require formal chaplaincy training (CPE). This is generally the case for work at hospices, jails, retirement homes, community centers, and similar institutions. However, most hospitals require a certified Chaplain with Clinical Pastoral Education units (CPE). The fulfillment of such training should be by a student-selected institution in their area. We typically refer our students to CPSP - The College of Pastoral Supervision & Psychotherapy which has offices and training centers across the country. Please inquire with us about other options. APDS is working towards becoming an official CPE training center, projected to possibly start in Fall 2021; APDS does not yet provide Chaplaincy training or CPE units directly at this time.
EMPLOYMENT: As employers set different hiring criteria, as well as adjust their policies to best meet their company’s needs, schools and institutions of higher learning are cautioned against stating any guarantee of employment for graduates. Whereas APDS credentials have resulted in employment, in keeping with the policy stated above, APDS is unable to guarantee their degrees and training as suitable in all situations of employment. Some work situations require accredited MDiv degrees and some do accept non-accredited MDiv degrees. APDS degrees are not accredited at this time. Regarding accreditation and other related frequently asked questions see: www.allpathsdivinityschool.org/faq
Equal Opportunity & Nondiscrimination
All Paths Divinity School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, handicap, or age, in any of its policies, procedures, or practices; nor do we discriminate because of a medical condition, ancestry, marital status, citizenship, or sexual orientation. This nondiscrimination policy covers admissions, access, and treatment in the institute’s educational programs and activities. Likewise, we are an Equal Opportunity employer.
Honesty Policy
It is assumed that students will complete all course assignments and graduation requirements in an honest and forthright way, doing their own original work for each class. It is also assumed that students will do separate written work for each course. Students who wish to use similar material for different courses must first obtain explicit permission from their instructors by email.
Should a student be found to plagiarize, misrepresent the source of their work, steal, borrow and/or collaborate in a dishonest way with others in completing such work, he/she will receive a failing grade for that assignment and automatically be placed on academic probation pending a formal review by his/her program Mentor/APDS Director.
Student Ethics and Etiquette
Student courtesy in communications and interaction with fellow students, faculty members, staff, and the Divinity School itself is an essential element of the student’s experience. It is a core aspect of being mindful to maintain consideration for the effects upon others of one’s conduct including all electronic communications and to refrain from spreading gossip/rumors. It is also a core responsibility of disciplined awareness to respect other persons who are encountered in a structured relationship such as student/teacher/mentor or are encountered otherwise in life. Accordingly, courtesy is expected and required of students in their communications, work, and conduct with fellow students, faculty members, staff, and hopefully with all people everywhere. While a simple reminder and encouragement are usually sufficient to correct a small or isolated breach of courtesy, extreme or repeated discourtesy to any fellow student, faculty member, or staff, may be considered a breach of campus ethics and/or academic requirements. Any discourtesy which has not been fully resolved to the satisfaction of the responsible faculty member may be reported to the administration and be grounds for campus or academic discipline including academic probation, disqualification, or expulsion without any course credit or tuition refund. Student appeals from any discourtesy-based disciplinary action may be made in writing to the Registrar or School Director.
Harassment & Personal Grievances
All Paths Divinity School is committed to maintaining a safe, productive environment for all members of the Seminary’s (Divinity School’s) academic community, students, faculty, and administration. Therefore, personal as well as academic grievances need to be dealt with and remedied. Harassment can take many forms, including sexual assault (physical or verbal). Each of us in the ALL PATHS community must be sensitive to the feelings of others and not act in a way that might be considered harassment by someone else.
A few examples of prohibited harassment or assault are (but not limited to):
• Verbal (racial, sexual, or ethnic jokes or insults).
• Physical (sexually suggestive or unwelcome touching, or obscene gestures).
• Visual (insulting cartoon, sexually suggestive or lewd pictures or photographs.)
If a student thinks that they or one of their fellow students has been the victim of harassment or assault, they should report the incident and the names of the persons to the Registrar or Director immediately (Registrar/School Director Rev. van Zyl, ℅ APDS, 1448 Berkeley St. Santa Monica, CA 90404. The incident will be investigated within 30 days. Cooperation is crucial for us to maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. There will be no retaliation against a student for making a complaint of sexual harassment. If a student is afraid to report any harassment to the Registrar or School Director, they are urged to speak to an administrator whom they trust. Staff may follow the same procedure for submitting their grievances as outlined above.
Grievance Policy
Any academic or personal problems, disagreements, or misunderstandings among administrators, faculty, and students should be rectified whenever possible by the parties involved. If an aggrieved student is unable to resolve the difficulty in this manner, he/she should direct the issue to the School Director or Registrar for assistance.
The Administration may offer mediation or arbitration as a way of resolving grievance issues. If the student does not find relief through this means the student is urged to submit his/her grievance in writing and further investigation into the problem(s) and possible solution(s) will be conducted.
Disqualification and Expulsion
Other than repeated plagiarism, there is one major circumstance under which students could be placed on expulsion status: Students who engage in illegal or unethical behavior, including disrespectful and arrogant conduct that intimidates or harasses students and/or faculty and administration. When any of these situations occur, the Registrar will notify the student of his/her status. Expulsion bars further registration in any course of study, pending a review by the School Directors.
Research Disclaimer/Consent
Any research that includes human subjects must include a disclaimer signed by the subject. They should be informed by the student that they have the right to discontinue the interview at any point, and of their right to anonymity. Various templates for consent forms can be found through a simple google search. This arrangement is to be made explicitly between the student and the subject only and APDS faculty and administration accept no liability in this regard.
Leave of Absence
Online study is a process of cumulative learning and requires continuous attention. For this reason, as we have stated, it is necessary for students to maintain continuity in program enrollment and regularity in completion of coursework from quarter to quarter throughout the 24 to 36 month period of the program.
However, we recognize that students may go through extenuating circumstances such as health crises, unforeseen work, or family issues that might make it difficult to fully focus or participate at certain times. An officially approved LOA extends their time for completing the program only for the time of the Leave of Absence.
In such eventualities, wanting a formal break from the obligations of the program, the student must apply for a formal Leave of Absence before the requested time of absence, using the appropriate Leave of Absence Form (available upon request from the Registrar). The Leave of Absence applies for one quarter only (up to 90 days) and must be approved by the Administration. The Leave of Absence will not automatically be renewed at the end of any quarter; a student will need to reapply for an absence each quarter. A student may not take more than a total of 2 quarters (180 days) on Leave of Absence throughout the duration of his or her enrollment in the program and may not take 2 quarters off consecutively. LOA cannot be retroactively applied.
NB: Absence and no communication for longer than 3 months without formal application and permission for LOA will result in the student’s being disenrolled.
LOA and Payment Schedule:
IMPORTANT: Should the student require an authorized leave of absence, this does not relieve them of their ongoing financial obligations, payment of which must continue uninterrupted through any leave of absence.
Course Duration & Course Completion Schedule
36 months is the maximum allowable time to complete the program. Failure to complete will result in the student automatically being dropped from the course of study with APDS. It is up to each student to monitor and structure their time with APDS. Should students be dropped from the school (for failure to complete the program) and wish to renew their current status they will need to formally re-apply to the program. This will require new application fees and enrollment forms, and the payment of any difference in program fees from the time they first enrolled. Completed work and course credit will be applied to the new enrollment.
50% of the program must be completed within 18 months from receipt of initialed, and signed enrollment forms. Failing to meet this requirement will result in the adoption of a detailed and committed time-schedule/work-flow chart being renewed by the student to ensure follow-through and ultimate student success in the completion of the program.
Failure to complete the remaining 50% of the program within a maximum of the remaining 18 months will result in the student being dropped from the course of study with APDS.
Changing Programs
Students may request changes to a different All Paths Program. APDS will determine if this is possible based on both coursework completed and coursework remaining. Students may only request this if they are current with their program status. This will incur a $250 administration cost and will include increased tuition fees if relevant. Students changing from Degree programs to Ordination or certificate programs cannot apply previous fees paid to defray the required administrative costs of the ordination program. Any change of program does not relieve any student of signed contractual obligations.
Buyer’s Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel the agreement without obligation, until midnight (Pacific) of the 5th business day after the date of enrollment as indicated on this contract on the signature page. Business days are Tuesday - Friday; Federal holidays excluded. If you cancel the enrollment agreement in this way, you will have no further liability to the School. Refunds (minus administration fees) will be made within 30 days.
Cancellation shall occur when you have given written notice of cancellation at the mailing address of the School shown on the enrollment agreement.
The student must contact the administration by email [email protected] to notify All Paths of intention to cancel and that a letter (hard-copy) has been sent postmarked within the period of time required.
The written notice of cancellation is only deemed effective when properly addressed, with postage prepaid and sent by registered mail with proof of delivery, all by the due date as specified in this contract. The written notice need not take any particular form and is acceptable if it shows that you no longer wish to be bound by the enrollment agreement or continue your attendance at the school.
Privacy & Confidentiality
APDS students agree to honor the confidentiality of what is shared in all of APDS activities and correspondence with students. APDS course materials are confidential and proprietary, not to be shared with anyone, any party (public or private), or institution (educational or otherwise), without prior written permission from the school. This confidentiality requirement is in place before, during, and in perpetuity after the program
APDS reserves the right to use recorded audio-visual and written material from student participation and to use these for education and marketing purposes. APDS respects requests for student anonymity but it is the student’s responsibility to notify the school of their request.
All Paths Divinity School supports diversity and free expression but does not tolerate negative, destructive attitudes or shaming of others. Those with sympathies for racial, ethnic, religious bias and/or those who support organizations or affiliations which promote hate speech or cultural notions of superiority or elitism are not welcome. If any affiliation with any such mindset should emerge in any student while enrolled with All Paths, said students will be asked to cease & desist. If this is not honored the student’s preference for this affiliation will be cause for dismissal.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS & GRADUATION
Student Intake Process & Personal Vision Statement
In order to facilitate this personal learning experience, the first assignment for each student is an in-depth spiritual autobiography. During this process, the student is also guided to craft a vision statement that will serve as the fulcrum of their studies. The fruits of this process will help to initiate and shape the direction and depth of the student’s studies and will also provide essential insights for those wanting just ordination or to include ministry as part of their degree. As your experience unfolds, APDS encourages students to revisit this vision statement several times throughout the program and to fine-tune it, if necessary, to reflect their growth.
Graduation Requirements Include
- Students must meet the learning objectives and requirements for each course
- Students need to receive a passing grade on no less than 90% of their coursework
- Students are required to complete various projects and electives depending on the program enrolled in
- Students must provide the administration with a calendarized schedule of study at the beginning of the program and sustain its progress - the total schedule cannot exceed 24 or 36 months.
- Students are required to complete a culminating thesis/paper to synthesize their studies and demonstrate the depth of their understanding
- The topic of your final thesis paper should be either “My Interfaith/Interspiritual Ministry” or “What is Interfaith/Interspiritual Theology?”
- Alternate topics may be suggested/requested but will need approval prior to starting.
- Thesis proposals are required to be submitted and approved by APDS
- A hardbound copy of the thesis, with an approved signature page, needs to be printed and sent to APDS
- If Interfaith/Interspiritual ministry/ordination is your focus, then APDS will also evaluate your readiness as a practitioner
- Ordination students will need to have an official clear background check submitted before receiving their certificate and ordination. There is a fee associated with this which is the student’s responsibility
- All students require a minimum of 10 monthly Spiritual Counselling/Spiritual Direction sessions as part of their training, at each student’s expense. Sessions are to be arranged through APDS and NOT through the individual counselor
- Regular phone/Zoom conferences with program mentors. (as agreed between mentor & mentee)
- Minimum attendance to at least ONE bi/weekly APDS Zoom prayer/spiritual practice call
- Attendance to each monthly Zoom curriculum conference call
In order for a student to graduate, all of these requirements must be fulfilled within a maximum of 36 months from the date of enrollment. Failing to do so the student may be required to re-enroll.

Foundational Courses
After the intake process, all students are required to complete a set of foundational courses prior to exploring the rest of their program curriculum. These courses typically include (but may vary or change): “The Heart of Ministry”, “World Religions Overview, “Introduction to Sacred Texts”, “Spiritual Counseling”.and “Interfaith: Past, Present, and Future”. Students will receive notice of these details at the end of their intake process. After the foundational courses have been completed, students are free to study the remaining courses in their program in any order but we generally encourage following the specified order as it is intended to be sequential. APDS reserves the right to update, adapt, and change their courses as required.
Program Mentor/Facilitator & Faculty-Student Interaction
A primary program mentor/facilitator is assigned to each student based on a variety of considerations including availability. Primary mentors and/or co-mentors provide program support and guidance throughout much of the student’s course of study. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain regular contact with their mentor, and fulfill the program benchmarks and requirements, and completing and submitting their work within the time-frames required. The student-mentor relationship is fluid and mentors might be changed from time to time to allow for a different experience.
As mentioned, online work has its unique challenges, and it is easy occasionally to become isolated and disoriented, please bear in mind personal challenges (such as procrastination, etc.) might show up in your study experience, so please be sure to seek active practical support from you mentor to help guide you through these inevitable hurdles which are a natural part of the online learning experience.
APDS supports a deep dive with each of our courses introducing students to multiple pathways of exploration. One of the challenges some students can face is being sparked to pursue tangential extra-curricular studies/courses/certifications which often take them out of their APDS course flow. This can cause the student to lose the time allotted to complete their APDS program. It is recommended to discuss any desire to engage in extra-curricular interests with your mentor/s before committing to them, to discuss whether or not these explorations are best left for post-program opportunities.
APDS has vital relationships with experts in many fields relevant to the course work who might be consulted if guidance or clarification is requested by the student on a given topic of study that cannot be satisfied by the student’s own research.
Students will have the option to consult with specific faculty members at various stages throughout their studies, on an as-needed basis. Administrators and advisors are also available for consultation and counseling via skype, email, and telephone. Faculty and guests are invited to participate in various online seminars and classes for the students. These often present opportunities for Q & A and further interaction with faculty and the student body.
A specific mentor may be requested but we cannot guarantee a pairing with them.
Spiritual Counselling
Students are required to have a minimum of between 5 & 10 Spiritual Counselling sessions spread through their first 18 months. Students must contact APDS to arrange these sessions. Additional fees apply depending on which program the student is enrolled in and are to be paid at enrollment. Continuing with further spiritual counseling/spiritual direction sessions throughout the program is recommended for all students. Students may begin regular Spiritual counseling sessions at any time.
Important: Students are required to share with their mentor the essence of the themes they are exploring in counseling after each session so that the mentor can be kept apprised of the students’ general spiritual growth and development. Personal details do not need to be shared if the student does not wish to do so. Spiritual Counselling is to be done concurrently with the completion of current coursework and not to inhibit the progress of studies.
Grading & Paper Review
All Paths rates student achievement on the relevancy of content, accuracy, legibility, presentation, overall quality, personal relevance, and meeting the course objectives, all in accordance with the guidelines and benchmarks provided. Our grading policy is simply “pass or fail” in the Ordination program and graded in the degree programs. Students should follow guidelines to submit papers given at orientation. In most cases, paper reviews will be returned within four weeks or less depending on the school calendar and availability of reviewers. Papers are typically responded to with notes giving feedback including areas that might need to be clarified. The student may re-submit their work to improve their grade.
*** Letter grades for APDS degrees may be requested and should be made at the beginning of their studies, An additional fee of $250 will be required if requested later in the program to reassess work and update APDS transcripts/records.
Writing Papers & Feedback
- Papers are expected to reflect that the student has met the learning objectives for that course demonstrating the necessary rigor of the study, research, and personal reflection.
- To ensure an interfaith, holistic, and global understanding, all papers should represent a balance of diversity of religions/faiths, including two Abrahamic, two Eastern, one indigenous, and one “other”.
- Students should be mindful of their chosen areas of emphasis to be included throughout the coursework and may consult with their mentor regarding this at any time as this might change.
- Students must demonstrate that they are comfortable articulating (in their own words) the main themes of the curriculum.
- Self-inquiry and inner growth are essential to the development of the student’s work and to be reflected in the various program coursework.
- All work submitted by a student must represent the student’s original endeavor.
- When outside sources are used as references, the student should cite sources, making clear the extent to which the source has been used. APDS considers plagiarism and falsification of documents a serious matter that will result in appropriate sanctions including loss of any credit for the work, suspension for a specific period of time, or expulsion from the program.
- Students need to reference and cite the Required Reading in all assignments.
- For formatting guidelines see the separate multi-page document titled, “Writing Guidelines” which will be provided to you after enrollment along with your “Getting Started” packet.
- Papers are reviewed by APDS associates and returned to the student with comments and feedback by the person chosen to review your work.
- Not all courses or modules will require reviews.
- Students may request additional feedback at any time.
Learning Resources & Study Tools
APDS provides a list of required and recommended reading and resources for each course. If at any time, a student needs additional resources, they may request further suggestions from their mentor. The student will determine the extent of the reading based on their prior knowledge and experience. Not every text must be read from cover to cover but can be consulted as needed to fulfill the course objectives.
The student is responsible for paying for their books and any materials used for projects. Many research and study resources are available free online as well. All Paths provides you with a list of required introductory reading for your foundation courses that you will need to purchase at the beginning. You should budget approximately $200 to get started.
Several of the required books are assigned to multiple courses. Students interested in pursuing independent study or making use of alternate learning resources need to submit a formal written proposal for approval by their program mentor, prior to undertaking it.
APDS Student Interaction
Whereas APDS is primarily an online environment we recognize that student interaction is important. To facilitate this a private Facebook page has been set up to which new students will be invited. Students are encouraged to meet and interact regularly. Both staff and students regularly post articles and resources and share ideas. There are regular prayer calls and opportunities at retreats or conferences to further interact. Study-buddies are also an option for those students working on the same courses or in general.
Progress Evaluation, Student Success Strategies & Workflow
APDS program structure and guidance allow students a great measure of independence in the way they approach their studies. We recognize that each student has a different learning style and academic ability and some students need more structure whereas others prefer more flexibility. To accommodate this, we've intentionally designed our programs to support the interests and abilities of each student.
APDS programs are for passionate, serious students and include self-directed studies. As online study requires self-motivation, self-discipline, and commitment, it is important that the student understand that they need to cultivate regular work practice.
To achieve this it is required that students set up a disciplined study routine for themselves from the beginning. This allows for momentum to develop and provides the opportunity for the student to sustain their workflow and complete assignments. This is especially important with the foundation courses as it sets the direction and tone for continuing studies. Some courses require more intensive reading and research than others. We recommend allowing a regular schedule of time for reading, note-taking, and reflection before launching into essay writing. We have found that those students who jump in and complete their initial paper within the first 4 to 6 weeks develop the flow more easily.
Most of all - APDS wants your curiosity and wonder to be ignited and for you to enjoy the process.
Students have completed the APDS programs in as little as 9 months but are given up to 36 months to graduate. Beyond that limit, students will be dropped from the program but may re-register.
To best support success, students will be required to commit to the following -
- An understanding that it is the student's responsibility to maintain and sustain focus and produce work in a timely fashion.
- To support this, students should create and submit to [email protected], and their mentor, a calendarized study schedule at the beginning of the program. This will be part of a proactive plan of study that will reflect an intention and commitment to the studies - it will allow time to plan ahead. You may ask your mentor for assistance if needed.
- A commitment to a weekly Monday check-in with their mentor or program facilitator is required.
- Regular communication with their mentor, especially regarding any subjective or objective challenge inhibiting their success is important.
- Students may request online “face to face” conferences when they are needing more support with completing course requirements.
In order to maintain and best support their optimal progress and success through the inevitable ebbs and flow of life, it is important for the student to be aware that in a program such as APDS, that fosters personal spiritual growth, students requiring more structure must be proactive in asking for additional guidance when necessary. Also, APDS courses offer opportunities for a more embodied experience balancing self-reflection, self-development, and academic requirements.
Weekly Monday Check-ins
It is a requirement for each student to be consistent in weekly email check-ins to update their mentor of work progress and general life experiences to address any questions or concerns which may come up as part of the process of study. This is essential so that APDS and your mentor can support you through any challenges you might be having. It is the student’s responsibility to reach out when facing such a challenge.
ADMINISTRATION
Records & Transcripts
The following documents are maintained by the registrar for each enrolled student:
• Students’ application form with student profile information.
• Documentation submitted in the admission process
• Signed copies of all enrollment contracts
• Record of completed assignments
• APDS student transcript
• Archived bound copy of student’s final thesis paper
Currently, APDS stores student progress records in electronic folders. All student records, historical and contemporary, are readily available.

Generally, APDS will not release any information about students to outside individuals unless APDS first receives the student’s permission in writing, or is required to give the information under State or Federal laws or to auditors, researchers, etc. However, it is considered that general information does not violate the student’s rights of privacy and, therefore, APDS is permitted to routinely release this information, unless the student specifically asks the school, in writing, not to release it. At this institution, general information is considered to be name, city, program of study, participation in recognized activities, dates of attendance, and any certifications or degrees obtained.
